I’m no math wiz, but actually this problem is pretty simple. If you’ll note that x=0. Because anything times 0 is 0 as is anything divided by 0. So the answer is 0. Trick question to see if people are paying attention to details or (like most people) will be overwhelmed by what would normally be a very tough problem.

@Kevin:
f(x) = -4 cos^7(x) f’(x)+84 sin^2(x) cos^5(x) f’(x)-140 sin^4(x) cos^3(x) f’(x)+28 sin^6(x) cos(x) f’(x) = -28 f’(0) sin^7(x)+196 f’(0) sin(x) cos^6(x)-980 f’(0) sin^3(x) cos^4(x)+588 f’(0) sin^5(x) cos^2(x) = 0

f(x) = 4*sin(7*x-PI/2)
f’(x) = 28*cos((PI-14*x)/2)
f’(0) = 0

Anything that you can’t type into Google is not worth answering. =)

Yes, the answer is actually 0. Little things that matter!

Uhh, the problem isn’t actually that simple, Steve (And you can’t divide by zero).
