Maybe there’s an offer for free ad placements in the local newspaper, or somebody was just really proud of their 1995 Nissan Maxima. Or maybe the Newspaper Bureau posted the Ad up just to fill in all the blank spots, since hardly anyone reads a printed newspaper now. The mystery continues.

Someone at Folger’s Ad agency must have thought it was a real smart idea to make it look like smoke coming up from a fresh cup  of delicious Folger’s coffee. It certainly looks good for a second or two, until you wake up and smell the coffee, or the stench from the sewers. Great way to tell people your brand is pure crap.

This TV Ad was from the 1950s but the internet being the way it is, we can all watch and cringe over it. Imagine if the same thing happened now, the man would get a stiletto through his head.

Here’s another classic Folger’s oops. Thanks to Google’s contextual advertising, Folger’s can automatically place an Ad beside mentions of Coffee. So when the internet is filled with news sites and blogs talking about this Coffee heart attack issue, there’s Folgers. Wonder how long it took them to realize it and take it down.

Huge FAIL by Microsoft! They just got caught using photoshop to cut out a black guy from their Poland ad. What were they thinking? I don’t mean the act of using photoshop to swap the white and black guy, but don’t get caught doing it!  Use another picture for the non Polish version or something. But wait, it’s OK when people swap out white guys for Black guys though, in the name of showing diversity of course. I say the fair skinned population in minority situations around the world should start a global ruckus just for the heck of it.
